ICHS Florida Chapter

 

On February 7th 2009 the ICHS Alumnae Association Florida chapter held our Annual General
Meeting. The following alumnae were elected to the Board :

Floor Members : Kathy Dyke, Suzanne Parchment, Brenda Leighton, Marie Kakrah, Marlene Sinclair,
Clair Williams, Caroll Neita, Frances McFarlane,  Jean Street , and  Laura  Bryce .

Heartfelt thanks to our outgoing officers especially Marie Kakrah who served as our Recording Secretaryfor many years, we appreciate your dedicated service.

As we  faithfully journey through our 19th year as the incorporated ICHS Alumnae Association Florida chapter, it is my privilege to serve as President. While we face  the challenges of this broken economy, we can be grateful at all times for the support and companionship of our ICHS community.

2009 ushers in a historic US presidency that no doubt inspires possibility among young Americans and Jamaicans alike. Therefore, in the face  of both great  economic difficulty and remarkable political change, let us double our efforts to make change a reality through public service.  We are filled with resources that the recession cannot erode : love of country, Jamaica our homeland and the USA our adopted country, commitment to our ICHS family and faith in our ability to move forward and upward - ” through difficulties to excellence”.

Thank you, our gratitude to all for your 2008 support of the ICHS Capital Campaign.  We are depending on your continued commitment  in 2009.  All contributions to this fund go exclusively towards meeting the increasing needs of the School.
